- Abstract
The article looks at the activism of women prisoners and how it led to reforms at the Detroit House of Correction, which was located in Plymouth, Michigan, and managed by the City of Detroit. Focus is given to the influence of the women's movement and feminist jurisprudence on prison activism in Michigan during the 1970s. Mary Glover's prison experience and the class action lawsuit Glover v. Johnson (1979) are also discussed.
