- Title
Cervical disc extrusion causing dura mater rupture in dogs.
- Abstract
The article discusses cases of traumatic extrusion of cervical discs resulting to dura matter rupture in dogs. A female lurcher and a male labrador had both collapsed suddenly during vigorous activity. The dogs were unable to walk but showed no signs of pain. Findings of neurological examination were consistent with myelopathy between C1 and C5. Radiography revealed narrowing of the intervertebral space between C3 and C4. The dogs were treated conservatively.
