- Abstract
The article discusses a case report of dystrophin-deficient muscular deficiency in an old English sheepdog. The author stressed that muscular dystrophies are inherited disorders characterized by progressive weakness and degeneration of the skeletal or voluntary muscles which control movement, without a central or peripheral nerve abnormality. On the basis of the histological and immunohistochemical analysis, it was confirmed that the sheepdog had dystrophin deficiency.
