- Abstract
The article discusses on a research study regarding the compression of optical solitons in nanoscale planar photonic crystal waveguides. It states the experiments with the planar nanowaveguides to be focused on the silicon-on-insulator platform benefitting from nonlinearity, controllable group velocity dispersion (GVD), and mature fabrication technology. It further states the significance of the study to establish the importance of soliton physics in nonlinear chip-scale nanowaveguides.
