- Abstract
The article presents a study which evaluates the feasibility and usefulness of using touch imprint (TI) cytology and rapid cytokeratin immunostatin (RCI) of frozen section (FS) analysis of sentinel lymph nodes (SLNs) to detect metastatic tumors. Patients with invasive breast carcinoma and diagnosed with lymph node-negative disease were the subjects of the study. The study revealed that the combination of FS and RCI was better than TI in the evaluation of SLNs.
