- Abstract
The article discusses the results of a retrospective review involving cancer patients with thrombocytopenia undergoing partial splenic embolization (PSE). Among the 28 patients participated in the study, two underwent repeat PSE due to recurrent thrombocytopenia following successful initiation of systemic therapy. The study concluded that PSE is a safe and effective way of managing thrombocytopenia secondary to hypersplenism to facilitate the performance of ST in cancer patients.
