- Abstract
The article examines how a shock to Chinese growth could influence the British economy using an empirical model of the world economy that exploits the historical comovement between international business cycles. Topics covered include a one-percent negative shock to Chinese gross domestic product, the impact of the slowing gross domestic product (GDP) of China on Great Britain, and reduction in the demand for goods and services produced by British firms.
