- Abstract
The article highlights the important elements of international macroprudential rules in Great Britain which involves the regulation of bank capital. Noted are the needed changes on capital requirement and the substitution of credit resources as it could affect the supply of loans by regulated banks. Presented are quarterly data on minimum capital requirements for all Financial Service Authority (FSA)-regulated banks wherein variations in minimum capital requirements were seen to be large.
