- Abstract
The article offers clarification on the Building Control Act 2007 (BCA) for the members of the Engineers Ireland and the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland (ACEI). The BCA deals on issues of building control. It notes that BCA does not apply to chartered engineers because they are already regulated by the provisions of the Institution of Civil Engineers of Ireland. Act 1969. It does not bestow on architects, quantity surveyors, building surveyors or any general or particular role in building control.
