Hope for new rinderpest treatment.
Abstract
The article reports that scientists at CIRAD, the French agricultural research institute, are developing a therapeutic vaccine from viral RNA to treat animals affected by rinderpest and peste des petits ruminant. The scientists used the technique called "RNA interference." Both morbillivirus diseases have been the subject of global preventive vaccination campaigns. According to CIRAD, the new RNA vaccine is a major step to control these extremely infectious viral diseases.
