- Authors
Eisberg, Neil
- Abstract
In this article, the author reflects on biofortified crops which he believes can reduce death due to malnutrition. He discusses the results of an American research which revealed that rice originated in China, however despite thousands of years of breeding, it reportedly did not meet the nutritional needs in Asia and Africa. He details a four million dollars grant awarded to Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc. from Howard G. Buffett Foundation for the completion of biofortified sorghum.
