- Abstract
This article was developed from a doctoral thesis conducted between 2013 and 2016. The purpose of this study is to identify the influence of the school in the construction of life projects. The methods of research included ethnographic techniques generally used in Anthropology of Education. For instance: participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. According to this study, the role of schools in vulnerable contexts consists in contributing in a differentiating manner to the Alternative Life Projects (ALP) through a three-phase process: coresponsibility in the educational community, exercise of leadership by the student and a comprehensive learning process that articulates knowledge, values and skills. Thus, it is concluded that the role of schools in post-conflicts resides in having a significant impact on its context and the life paths with the purpose to promote community dynamic development from the basis.
