- Title
May's blackouts could recur.
- Abstract
The article reports on the blackouts which happened on May 27, 2008 in parts of London, East Kent, Lincolnshire, Merseyside, Cheshire, and Cleveland. According to David Hunter of Mckinnon & Clarke energy consultants, a series caused the blackouts of coincidences. Such coincidences include a problem in ageing power stations caused by lack of investments and failure of a political will to render modern generating capacity. Hunter also adds that the blackouts could recur if the problems remain unsolved. The article explores more of the energy dilemma.
