- Abstract
An essay is presented on immigration laws and the legalization of racial profiling in the state of Illinois and the role of Secure Communities program introduced by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in this context. The program aims in reducing the number of criminal aliens present in the U.S. It also discusses criminality, the problems faced by the program and the lack of proper training of law enforcement officials.
