- Abstract
The article discusses the role of the State and Regional Academies of Science on science clubs in the U.S. The state academies of science from the nature of their organization and because of the great diversity of the scientific interest of their members should constitute the chief agency in coordinating the activities of the science clubs in their respected localities. School science clubs are usually composed of the pupils who are pursuing science courses in the public schools but some of them have, in addition, honorary members and alumni members. It has been estimated that there are about 4,000,000 pupils in schools who are eligible to join school science clubs Constructive effort in an attempt to coordinate the work of these clubs with the State Academies offers an opportunity to work toward the attainment of this goal.
