- Abstract
The article reports on the use of a Malitronic MULTIAXIAL warp knitting machine from Karl Mayer Malimo in a research project conducted at Dresden University of Technology (TU Dresden) in Germany aimed at producing concrete reinforcement from carbon fiber heavy tows (CFHT). The machine modifications made by Karl Mayer included installing combined warp yarn/holding-down sinkers for placing warp yarns accurately between the needles. The modifications increased the productivity of the machine.
