FrameEx: Classroom Exercise to Demonstrate Analytic Framework Value.
- Authors
Worthington, William J.; Collins, Jamie D.; Reutzel, Christopher R.
- Abstract
The article focuses on Framework Exercise (FrameEx), a classroom teaching tool that demonstrates the concept of segmentation by introducing a cognitive aide that may help bring numbers that appear to be randomly arrayed. It says that while FrameEx is a simple method, it is an elegant hands-on tool for teaching. It adds that the exercise demonstrates that when a framework grid is appropriately fixed, it may lessen the cognitive dilemma that managers can experience prior to an important decision.
