- Title
"AFTER US, NOT OUT OF US": WRESTLING WITH THE FUTURE IN D. H. LAWRENCE'S WOMEN IN LOVE.
- Authors
Rosinberg, Erwin
- Abstract
The article focuses on D. H. Lawrence's novel "Women In Love" that illustrates Lawrence's hope for the future that is perpetually bound with a profound sense of the difficulty of its realization and paradoxically communicated through the figure of the romantic couple. It suggests that unfulfillment of the couple's sense of a new beginning is for Lawrence a condition of its continued desirability. It notes how the novel's ending remains dedicated to the possibility of its radical reconception.
