- Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic has caused conditions for traveling outside the city, province and even abroad to have a Covid-19 free letter. To prevent counterfeiting, authenticity and legality of Covid-19-free letters, digital signatures are one of the techniques of cryptography that can be used to overcome these problems. A digital signature is an authentication method that allows the sender of a message to include a code that acts as his signature. The use of digital signatures can ensure an electronic document is still intact and original so that it can be legally accounted for. Digital signatures can prevent counterfeiting of Covid-19 free letters. Based on the results of the study, the verification and validation of Covid-19 free certificates using digital signatures and QR Code technology were successfully carried out. SHA-1 is used to generate message digests for COVID-19 free results certificates. The RSA algorithm is used for encryption and decryption of the message digest. The Digital Signature was successfully implemented in the form of a QR Code containing the patient's identity, test results, doctor's identity and letter issuer. The verification and validation process was successfully carried out. Verification and validation of digital signatures show VALID results, namely the decrypted message digest has the same value as the original message digest.
