- Abstract
Goldfish are freshwater ornamental fish that are popular for cultivation in aquariums. The population of goldfish breeders is projected to reach 129,734 thousand in 2024. The maintenance of goldfish requires a water temperature of 25.7 – 29.7°C, a minimum turbidity of 10 NTU, and a water pH of 7.1 – 7.6. Improper feeding can affect growth and endanger the condition of the fish. With the Internet of Things (IoT) and Network Time Protocol (NTP) technology, you can change manual feeding activities to automatic at a certain time without additional devices. NTP is an internet protocol used to synchronize time on a computer network. This research is expected to be able to monitor the parameters of the aquarium and automatic feeding scheduling. The results of testing the whole system to run well, the system works according to a schedule, namely at 9:00 and 17:00. The results of the temperature sensor test have an error percentage value of 1.17% and an accuracy value of 98.83%. The test results of the pH sensor at an acidity degree of 7 have an error percentage value of 1.39% and an accuracy value of 98.61%. The results of testing the water turbidity sensor show that it is able to provide changes in water turbidity when feeding. The results of the data indicate that the sensor system is suitable to be applied to goldfish aquaculture. The NTP-based scheduling system is also able to schedule feeding according to the desired scenario.
