- Abstract
The article discusses a model used to examine the ascent of sounding balloons, which are used in meteorological research and forecasting, in the lower stratosphere and the troposhere. It states that the model takes into consideration the variation of the drag coefficient with altitude as well as the heat imbalance between the atmosphere and the balloon. It further explores the extraction of the air vertical velocity.
