- Abstract
The article reviews initiatives, acts, and changes to canon law effected by various bodies of the Catholic Church during 2011. The author discusses the initiation of the first personal ordinariate for the faithful returning to full communion from the Anglican Church. The author notes that the Congregation for Catholic Education has published a reform decree on ecclesiastical studies in philosophy that affects some parts of the Apostolic constitution ''Sapientia Christiana.'' The erection and reorganization of several ecclesiastical constituencies by Pope Benedict XVI are mentioned, including the the military ordinariate for Bosnia-Herzegovina on February 1st, the diocese of Kondoa in Tanzania on March 12th and the ecclesiastical province of Malanje in Angola on April 12th.
