The article presents the authors opinion on the need of new dental techniques in the dental school curriculum. He states that dental schools are teaching outdated techniques and despite the scientific base, while teaching dental techniques students should be informed of new developments. He opines that cast restoration which is almost finished has no scientific base, but it should be the part of each dental school curriculum.
