A Biometric Evaluation of Gingival Curettage (II).
- Authors
Ainslie, Patrick T.; Caffesse, Raul G.
- Abstract
The article presents a study evaluating the occurring changes in pocket depth, level of attachment, and inflammation with gingival curettage. The method used in evaluating such changes is a split mouth design applied to 15 subjects, the results of which are being compared to the performance of scaling and root planing only in other areas. Results from the study indicate the decrease in pocket depth and in gingival inflammation and the increase in the level of attachment following the five-week treatment.
