- Abstract
The article discusses the history, causes, and diagnosis of Sjögren's syndrome. It states that the treatment for such disorder depends upon the patient's clinical appearance, laboratory tests and ocular or salivary gland tests. It presents a case report for 13 patients with Sjögren's syndrome. Some of the treatments include the use of tear substitutes into the conjuctival sac for ocular dryness while for dental problems includes chewing of sugar-free gum and constant sipping of sugar-free beverages during the day.
