- Title
EMPLOYEE STOCK OWNERSHIP, INVOLVEMENT, AND PRODUCTIVITY: AN INTERACTION-BASED APPROACH.
- Abstract
The article discusses the findings of the British Workplace Employment Relations Survey, a research survey orchestrated by British governmental departments and research institutions. These findings are used to examine whether productivity in the workplace is affected by the combination of employee stock ownership (ESO) plans and participation in decision-making, or merely ESO alone. While it is found that stock plans seem to require participation to be effective, the findings also imply that majority participation in the plan has an independent effect on productivity.
