- Abstract
The author reflects on the influence of Baptists in U.S. politics, social reform and education. Baptists began as a small, oppressed movement in the U.S. colonies and became well-known as defenders of freedom and champions of religious liberty. Baptists grew and matured to become a majority movement and began service as leaders in public life. Various reports published within the issue like the one on Baptist's contributions on social and ethical reforms by Brent Walker is also presented.
