The article examines the mutations of voltage-gated sodium channel (VGSC) associated with knockdown resistance in the Aedes aegypti as dengue vector in Vietnam. Topics mentioned include the move to determine the level of knockdown resistance to pyrethroid, amplification of the coding region fragment of the VGSC gene spanning exon from DNA samples, and mosquito mortality after exposure of pyrethroid.
