- Abstract
The article discusses a study which examines the characteristics of dual polarimetric tornadic debris signature (DPTDS) following the May 20, 2013 tornado in Newcastle and Moore, Oklahoma. The study found that DPTDS can and do occur in the absence of substantial surface damage and visible condensation funnels. It suggests that the use of radar data can aid in post-event storm surveys with regard to tornado verification.
