- Abstract
The article looks at U.S. government regulation of money-market funds (MMFs) as of November 2012. The author, an executive with the Financial Executives International (FEI) professional association, recounts proposed U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) rules on MMFs and explains the FEI's reasons for opposing them. The 2010 U.S. Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act and the U.S. Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC) created by the law are cited.
