- Title
National Cancer Institute Begins Revamp of Clinical Trials Cooperative Program.
- Authors
Kuehn, Bridget M.
- Abstract
The article reports on the changes being made by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) on its Clinical Trials Cooperative Group Program. The program reportedly plays an important role in conducting trials unlikely to be undertaken by industry. The NCI made several changes to the approval process, including the right of the NCI to make any formatting changes necessary for the submitted document to meet the NCI requirements rather than sending it back with a list of suggested changes for investigators to complete. The institute is also allowing investigators to monitor the status of their research proposal.
