- Abstract
The article explores the mud bathing or staining behavior of Egyptian vultures, discussing the phenomenon of avian cosmetics as a means of social communication. It discusses the history of field work on identifying the species visiting feeding stations of Fuerteventura in Spain. Details of the 2016 research including two bowls of mud installed at the feeding station and observations of multiple birds taking mud baths, is included.
