- Abstract
This article reports on how vitamin C in the body can affect antineoplastic drugs and chemotherapy treatments in cancer patients. The article discusses how vitamin C can inhibit the effectiveness of these therapeutics through reducing cytotoxicity. Vitamin C also antagonizes the efficacy of drugs by altering mitochondrial membrane potential. Information is provided on dehydroascorbic acid, leukemia and lymphoma cells, and drug viability as well.
