- Abstract
The article focuses on President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) highlighted the government's signature policies and plans for the future in Zócalo, Mexico on December 1, 2021. It mentions that midterm elections held in June 2021, were the first opportunity for his coalition to contest many of the country's powerful governorships. It also mentions that the major parties of the political system that preceded AMLO-the remnants of the long-ruling PRI, the right-wing PAN, and the center-left Partido de la Revolución Democrática (PRD)-formed an opposition bloc.
