- Authors
Rees, Charlotte E; Knight, Lynn V
- Abstract
The author discusses a study, which used relativist insights from symbolic interactionism (SI) to explain how assessors' roles as rule creators and enforcers might influence medical students' professionalism. She also comments on the social processes wherein the construction of students' unprofessional behavior occurs. These processes include banning, detection, attribution and reaction.
