- Abstract
The article reports on the study that evaluates to ability Electronic Carries Monitor (ECM) to predict the development of dentine caries in the occlusal surfaces of second permanent molar teeth. It shows that ECM has the capacity to detect early, non-cavitated lesions which can potentially remineralise. It suggests that ECM was a good predictor of the surfaces that would develop caries or be restored during an 18 month period.
