- Abstract
The article deals with the consensus document from an expert group assembled by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment among athletes. Some of the issues considered by the expert group include PRP use in clinical practice, the role of PRP in muscle injuries and the role of PRP in cartilage injuries and the healing of other tissues.
