- Abstract
A criticism is presented of the poems within the collection of poems "The Borough," by George Crabbe, including "The Poor and their Dwellings" (Letter XVIII), "General Description" (Letter I) and "Amusements" (Letter IX). Particular focus is given to the depiction of poor people within "The Borough," including in regard to the personal belongings of the poor.
