- Abstract
Retirement planning strategies, decisions, and actions are linked to different phases of the life cycle, but late-in-life issues require complex decisions and actions that can easily be forgotten in planning. This article focuses on four main topics—health and longterm care; financial management; housing and transportation; and support systems— and provides information about resources to help in dealing with them. Advisors need to decide which decisions and actions they will help clients address. Retirement and retirement planning is certainly about money, but it is also about how clients will live their lives.
