- Abstract
The article focuses on the use of blood sampling to characterize solid-tumor genomes. It relates the studies by J. G. Lohr and colleagues, H. Im and colleagues, and C. Bettegowda and colleagues which describe technologies that can extract molecular information on parent tumors from circulating tumor cells (CTCs), circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA), or tumor-derived exosomes. It mentions that the technologies used in the studies are considered useful tool in fields unrelated to liquid biopsy.
