- Abstract
The article discusses the life and career of aeronautical engineer Beverley Shenstone, with a particular focus on his activities during and immediately prior to the Second World War. Details on his performance of both war-related and civil transport aviation duties in the British and Canadian aviation industries are presented. The author discusses the roles of writing and communication in Shenstone's work and examines articles which he published under the pseudonym Brian Worley. Topics discussed include his work with the British Ministry of Aircraft Production (MAP), his work in the United States with the British Air Commission (BAC), and his work on such engineering topics as aircraft de-icing, composite aircraft design, and tailless aircraft.
