- Abstract
Dear Editor, One consequence of the pandemic outbreak of obesity is that this clinical condition is becoming more and more common among organ transplant candidates. Both patients were listed for transplantation at 7 months, were successfully transplanted within 12 months after ESG and no post-transplant complications occurred. We plan to start two prospective clinical trials in both liver and kidney transplant candidates with obesity to validate this potentially groundbreaking and lifesaving procedure, the results of which may change the paradigm of obesity management in the field of transplantation.
