- Abstract
Application possibilities in Lithuania regarding non-formal education programmes for driver training created by the scientists from various countries, and recommendations for their improvement, are analysed in the article. To reduce risky behaviour on Lithuanian roads, the authors of the article note that it is not enough to tighten road traffic laws, increase fines or train and test the future drivers within the limits of theoretical and practical driving knowledge. It is necessary to review and improve the content, nature, and form of non-formal education programmes for the learner drivers in Lithuania, and to supplement those programmes with new methods of training and guidance.
