- Abstract
The article discusses legal issues regarding preventive detention orders (PDOs) in Australia. Topics discussed include empowering of federal, territory and state judges to incarcerate citizens to protect community from terrorism, infringement of Chapter III of Constitution by involving judges in detention proceedings lacking basic features of fair process, and separation of judicial power for the federal courts in the country.
