This article discusses the digitization of the comic book industry onto mobile devices, such as the Apple iPhone, utilizing web applications to promote the product. The author discusses the initial development of the digital comic book medium, referencing Marvel's Cybercomics series, which was hosted on the Internet services and media company America Online (AOL) in the early days of the Internet, and used interactive animation.
