- Abstract
This article presents a literary criticism for the book "Americanos: Los pasos de Murieta" by Argentine author Ariel Dorfman. The author examines the main themes of the novel, which takes place in California in the 1880s, particularly colonialism and Mexican-American relations. The influence of 19th century Latin American romance literature is also explored.
