- Abstract
The article focuses on lawsuits related to government contracts in the U.S. and the decisions taken by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in 2009. One of them is the Astoria Federal Savings & Loan Ass'n v. United States, in which the Government appealed the U.S. Court of Federal Claims (COFC) decision to award 16 million dollars in damages to Astoria. It discusses the Circuit's decision on Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co. v. United States regarding the fraud provision.
