The article offers information on the retention of spoken chanted liturgical latin in the Nigerian local church. Topics include focuses on the ethnographic data is that in many churches in Italy, the use of Latin seems to have disappeared for good; and report that during and after Vatican II there was the feeling in several parts of the northern hemisphere that devotion is no longer important.
