- Abstract
The article discusses balancing act between state policing and individual privacy interests in state and federal courts, along with incorporation of a search-protocol requirement into mobile device search warrants. Topics discussed include ruling of the U.S. Supreme Court in the case Riley v. California, requiring search warrants from law enforcement officers to search a mobile device, issues in lower courts over it and applicability of analogizing computer search warrant to mobile devices.
