- Abstract
The article discusses financial market crises, private banking interest rates, and the integrity of the London Interbank Offered Rate (Libor) benchmark for the cost of short-term borrowing for large banks in London, England as of July 2013. Other topics include the British Bankers' Association and the U.S. government's potential oversight of Libor as a means of preventing additional rate rigging. The domestic enforcement of Libor is examined, along with U.S. antifraud laws.
